Wednesday 5,00pm Alan rang regarding weather committee vote was 3 to 0 to go ,because of problems with ferry crossings from Dover to Calaise Brian had booked a ferry from Poole to Cherbourg ,however this was a fixed time of 8,30 am sailing so it as decided to have pick ups 2 hours earlier to ensure we were on the ferry in time as no other crossings were available

Thursday 5,30 pm arrived at yard set off to pick up Cockfield and West Durham ,then back to yard to put baskets on to 1 wagon ,leaving yard at 7,30 ,collecting Darlington birds leaving there at 8,15
