THURSDAY Spoke to Alan Brown and made the decision to go on Thursday as there was a chance of a lib on Saturday morning, I rang Brian Ford to inform him of the decision at 8.15am. Setting off from the Yard at 6.45pm picking up Cockfield Fed and West Durham Fed going back to the Yard for Crook Fed, When Rob and Sam arrived with their Transporters all birds were loaded onto 2 Wagons and 1 Trailer keeping all Feds together. Set off at 9.30pm to collect Darlington Fed loaded by 10.00pm, Setting off to Wetherby to meet Rob moving on to Peterbourgh stopping for Tacho break, Then going to 20 miles outside of Eastbourne by 5.30am. We stayed there until 10.00am Friday, Then drove up to Beachy Head for about 11.00am Birds watered by 11.40am could not open Wagon sides due to the High Winds but the doors opened. Water off at 3.00pm feeding birds and making sure all was ok and rewatering by 5.00pm. SATURDAY Morning at 5.45am Dull on Beachy Head with odd Showers and odd sunny spells, But due to Forcast of rain moving South early in the Day and on the Afternoon belts of rain I Decided not to Liberate there was also a better Forecast giving for Sunday, Waters were checked and shavings removed then topped up early Morning. Started at 3.00pm to remove waters and start to feed then rewater complete by 5.00pm. SUNDAY up at 5.00am with Clear Blue Skies but with Bands of Showers due at Home end by 1.00pm. BIRDS up at 6.15am clearing well into a Fresh West Wind. (This Lib has a video on WDA site). Set off back at 7.00am, High Cloud at London with 70% Blue Skies up to Grantham, Hitting light rain at Doncaster with good visability, But brighter towards the East this was at 1.00pm the first birds should of gone passed there by 10.30am this being calculated from winning birds at the home end.
