at 9am sat. morning full cloud cover.i decieded to wait for an improvement in over head condtions,at 9.40 got a phone call to say durham com. were liberating at 9.45.rang back to hear birds cleared well, so i rang UNC convoyer at worksop he said he was going at 10.00 hopefully,stil full cloud on our site ,but bright north and south approx 10 miles.they started to liberate at 10.15,he told me he had 7 lib,s.so decieded to wait for them all to go as they were 6 miles north of us.he rang me back at 11.30 to say his last lib was going at 11.45.so i decieded to lib at 11.50 giving approx. 10 mile head start plus their birds going easterly. he rang me at 11.47 to say last lib gone and he could se them heading off in distance.we liberated at 11.50 with birds clearing well straight north.put them up 2 groups as it was becoming darker from west.got a phone call from a TD member to say he was told UNC last lib were flying around worsop in large numbers,when got a phone call off UNC convoyer to say our 1st lib past him heading north. liberated 2nd group birds also going well straight north. we set off back with condtion's very good and very good visability.durham comb. rang me on route to say he had poor race at 15.30.been a pigeonman i am absoultly gutted at your losses and pray they return for you. only thing i can say is they must have caught the last lib. of UNC at worksop, when i was told they had gone. peter matthews convoyer.devasted.
