*A bird sold at the breeder buyer auction can only compete in the VOD b/b if flown by the registered purchaser.

>THE SALE/AUCTION

*The entry of a bird into the breeder/buyer sale will be taken as consent for the ownership of the bird to be transferred to the purchaser and transfered into there ownership.

* All young birds must be in the pen on the day of sale to compete in race and be at least 28 days of age (any bird not in pen or underage and not of weaning age will effectively be disqualified and no refund given). A RING WITHOUT A BIRD IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

* Any winning birds must have an original copy of club/fed clocking sheet and result sheet signed by club/fed secretary (photocopies not accepted) To an official within 24hrs of the race.

*5% of total sales to go to VOD to help cover costs.

* DEFRA to be informed of a pigeon gathering taking place.

£2,225 in the pot potentially once all places are paid up including a £200 sponsor from the Vale of Derwent Social Club venue where sale is to be held (plus many more sponsors in pipe line including breweries, corn merchants and other pigeon racing companies). Has the potential to be massive. If each 135 birds entered makes average of £40 (last time a lot went for much more) looking at £5,400 there abouts on top. That money and only 135 birds competing for a share of it.

Not only that but the amount of fliers who will now buy youngsters and no doubt keep most of there team flying up to the national as most aren't going to only keep there breeder buyer birds racing, which hopefully should see a big boost to there clubs, feds and amal birdages where many members would have stopped after a few races. So all round it's a great job keeping the sport going in the right direction and keeping them baskets as full as possible. Thank you for all the support.

Comments

The method of payment could be interesting, speaking from experience pigeon men are strange people when it comes to inter-net payments, most of them know to press the green button when the mobile phone rings and thats about it
GOOD LUCK

Hi Brian just about all paid up. I've had a few pay cash also but amazing how many online now, or can just pop to the bank and transfer it over, I think a few older members also get there sons and daughters to do it and pay them the cash. It takes alot of hassle out of things, and of course leaves a paper trail if there's any discrepancies over payments etc.

FULL FOR THIS YEARS

Tried to do payment but as I’m abroad says I need card reader so will do it Saturday morning as home them
Alan Todd

I ran the £11 x rings last yb season with the idea it would be paid out
by bank transfer within 7 days of winning, only 2 members were paid out as planned, the rest waited until the payout rather than give their bank details, typical pigeon men

12 left to pay and 10 of them will be paid up by fridays pay day. Couple applicants looking uncertain but waiting list will soon have them filled. Have fanciers entered from Ireland Scotland and southern England aswell as a great support from our own. If you ever need a hand Brian get in touch. I've set a number of older fanciers up on PayPal etc it's very secure and very easy to work. Makes the admin side of things much easier so your not back and forward to bank etc
