Important - Secretary & Treasurer needed for the WDA

After 16 years dedicated service as Secretary and Treasurer to the West Durham Amalgamation and over 50 years active membership competing in the Amalgamation Brian Ford is stepping down at the upcoming AGM on the 11th of December.

His notice to stand down at the end of the 2024 season was communicated to the 9 Fed Secretaries and Amalgamation officials on the 26th of October.

Anyone wishing to be considered for either or both of the roles should initially inform their Fed Secretary.

In short: the Secretary is responsible for the day to day running of the Amalgamation including management of staff.
The role of Treasurer is responsible for the finances of the Amalgamation and if done to a different individual than the role of Secretary works closely with them to assist them in delivering racing.

Thanks for all your efforts over the years Brian, delivering the members racing through Coronavirus, Avian Influenza and other events out of his control.
