The NEHU President in his wisdom has issued a statement on the OFFICIAL NEHU website dated March 3rd
"FROM THE 17th MAY 2021 WE WILL REVERT TO "RULE" FOR MARKING PIGEONS, THE VACCINATING OF YOUNG BIRDS WILL REVERT TO "RULE" IMMEDIATELY. The very next line
"please wear masks and keep to "SOCIAL DISTANCING"
So Mr Snowdon has basically declared that you cannot vaccinate your young birds until Boris has relaxed the social distancing rules, I like others, get my team of y/bs vaccinated ASAP

As proposed and passed that all WDA winners are to be dope tested, It amazes me that members propose and get seconders for proposals when they have no idea of the consequences, the estimated cost given by a NEHU official is £190

The total prize money paid at GIEN in 2020 was a grand total of £293, If we had the Dope Test rule in place it would have been reduced to £103, The Amal winner receives £100 + 7.87% of remaining prize fund [£3.00]

Seems to be some confusion on the convoying costs
Last year the convoying account shows a PROFIT of £10729, Page 5 of the balance sheet, if anybody has looked at it, We were about 7 inland races [the bread and butter races] down on the previous year, We have just received a cash rebate from HSBC bank of just under £7000, We will get another wagon, one that is fit for purpose over the future years, Peter Matthews our Transport Manager is on the case

After a conversation today with Tom Riddle regarding the drug testing of pigeons it would be a cost of £160 PER bird plus 45p per mile expenses so approx £190.
There are only 5 people in the NEHU qualified to carry this procedure out.

Following yesterday's announcement by the government I have had several discussions today Simon Cassidy unc President ,Davy Dockray and Sean Harland of Durham combine didn't get chance to speak to new north amal all conversations went very well.As racing was due to start on 3rd April it was announced from information we could start training on 29th March which would only give 4 days to get some training weather permitting my thoughts were out the programme back 1 week and start on the 10th.I contacted Simon to ask his thoughts on the unc start to date he thought they may still go ahead on
