May I on behalf of all the genuine members of the WDA say a big thank you to Alan Brown for the tremendous amount of time, work and effort he's put in during his time as President of the WDA. A lot of unseen and at times a lot of unthankful effort to ensure that we had some sort of racing in this very unprecedented year (may I also add this also includes Brian, Peter, Dan and all concerned that we were able to race this year).

I would like to inform everyone that I will not be standing for re-election at the 2021 AGM
I have become totally disillusioned with the attitude of a small minority of members when everyone is trying their best for them .
I have been called an idiot, waste of space, accused of organising a farce as well as been told I don’t know what I am doing .
Along with Brian I have spent hundreds of hours a year trying to improve the WDA as well as working through this season to get some racing,in unprecedented i times due to COVID 19

By A Brown , 5 October 2020

Just a reminder that proposals for agm are required by 30th October, also remind you that all changes by the emergency committee which were made to get racing started can be changed to suit members wishes
Not sure yet how we will be able to hold a meeting but restrictions might change by then

Sadly due to present regulations there is no other option than to cancel this year’s presentation night

I have been in regular contact with Shildon Civic Hall and until the recent change in COVID regulations we were hoping to go ahead with reduced numbers ,however this is now not possible
