This year we have been donated a new trophy to be called the WDA General Champion which is for annual competition

The rules are the trophy is awarded to the member who has the best velocity calculated over all WDA races by adding total distance and total flying time ,member need not be in first 100 but must have a timing in all races ,this year 6 in total

WDA Best Bird ,based on 5 OB races from points awarded from 100 for first down to 1 for 100th

Shepherd Trophy awarde to member with most points in 3 WDA channel faces 50 points for 1st down to 1 for 50th

I would just like to say a big thank you to our Convoying team Peter and Dan plus all the regular drivers and helpers ,Darren,Harry,David, Karl and Karl for all the work they have put in to give us racing this year, ( I know we had a slip up on Friday )
We managed to get 19 races in including 2 old bird inland nationals ,3 channel races and a young bird programme when at one time it looked like we may not have been racing at all.

FRI rang s,meadows and m,wade,vote 3-0 to go
Forcast good with sunny spells most of the way ,but a very strong ne wind
Went yard for 4.30,unfortunately 1 driver got mixed up with pickup times and caused a bit of a delay at the backside pickups.i set off to pick up CF and WD feds up then back to the yard to get CR fed up,CON and DV feds were then put on the trailor aswell.with the back 3 feds and DAR staying on the wagon.then of to leeming bar to fill up with diesel.setting off at 7.30pm.
Arriving on site for 1.25 am,birds watered and opened up by 2am,

Trophies are due to be returned by 1st October,please return to either Owen Shaw at Winlaton or Deco at Tindale Crescent at present Deco are on reduced hours and are open Monday,Wednesday and Fridays from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm
