A proposal was putt forward at the meeting to make things easier to continue channel . with the possibility of Race marking the birds at the West Durham amalgation garage at Billy Row which would be less travelling than going to UNC garage snappers corner.
At present the membership fee for Wda members is £20 which goes towards costs of running the organisation currently we have 350 members which may drop to approximately 330.
An increase of £10 would bring £3,300 which could be used to pay the Fees for Vets and Shipping agent for 3 races from France
1 from Bellencourt (341 miles to Darlington, 363 miles to Stanley)
2 from Creil (404 miles to Darlington, 426 miles to Stanley)

Ian Stafford /JPS LOFTS will raise money to possibility cover the costs for 2 more channel races.

NEHU Longest race is scheduled for Auxerre (515 miles to Darlington, 537 miles to Stanley).

Since we now have a 7.5 Tonne wagon with better fuel consumption capable of carrying 1,500 birds costings have been calculated to cover wages, diesel, Ferry charges 1,000 birds or over would be around £2/£2.25 per bird.
