I will post Gary's own words as an introduction to the auction and I know Gary is held in very high regard within his own Fed, the WDA, UNC and the NEHU.

****"Having been given the devastating news this morning Tuesday 10/1/2023 that the cancers I have are now not curable I am now selling my 2023 race team and will sort out the details to sell the stock team at a later date.

I have achieved some fantastic results over many years including 2 x 1st WDA, 2x2nd WDA, 3 x 3rd WDA and many other top 20 performances.
Although a little while ago I was also fortunate enough to top the UNC and I don't think there are many lofts who achieved that.
I have either been too flyer or near to top of the Fed for many years.
My birds are manly based on the Busschaerts, which are still more than capable of competing with the modern strains.
The Busschaerts are a brilliant cross as my results have proved. I have crossed them with the Soontjens of Ian Nesbitt of Sunderland, the Van Reets of Decca Lamb and recently the Lambrechts and Van den Bulcks from Malcolm Douglas of Highfield, Stephen Foster of Preston and Alfie Hawthorne of Newcastle.
I was really looking forward to racing my birds in 2023 as I felt they would perform at the highest level as in previous years.

Thinking of you and your family Gary, Gary was NEHU Vice President at the same time as myself and then Deputy NEHU Secretary until he has to retire with ill health. As well as very good fancier Gary is a real gentleman and contributed lots to the sport in the NEHU.
