Racepoint - Grantham 2 (sub Huntingdon) 1st May

All wagons arrived at racepoint for 11:30 birds watered up by 12 buckles loosen on curtain side wagons and shutters lifted about a foot due to rain on site.
630 woke up full cloud cover on site visibility good but weather was improving. 730 very light rain on site mostly cloud cover but the sky was starting to break up was starting to get pockets off blue and sun was trying to break through visibility was good.
8 30 blue sky broken clouds sun kept coming and going waiting for unc birds to get out of the way so ours had a clear run.
0900 birds liberated in a very light North West wind could be strong in some places, blue sky broken cloud couldn't time it right with the sun disappearing all the time so birds went with no sun but visibility was excellent weather on line of flight sunshine in places blue sky broken cloud birds cleared well, a kit of about 100 pigeons did do a turn but they did turn back round and got back into the main kit along the field then they went all together.
