Message for all Clubs.

Can you please check your basket front flaps?

Several baskets are not opening on liberation when the lever on the racking is pulled as the cable ties on the front flap are too tight. There must be sufficient movement to allow the front flap to drop cleanly.

In addition several baskets are being sent with the cane which runs along the front flap of the pannier snapped so when the convoying team cut the final string while preparing for liberation the front flap drops by an inch or three which if not spotted and propped up leaves the basket insecure.

Baskets which are not opening properly or have a damaged front causing the flap to drop on the string being cut will be labeled by the Convoyer before return and notified to the relevant Fed Secretary and WDA officials.
