Huntingdon 2nd May 2015 Convoyers Report

Fri 7,45 am rang Alan Brown and Martin Wade vote was 2 to 0 to go at that time unable to contact Stephen Meadows due to phone problems ,Alan spoke to him later and his vote would have been to go.
Fri 2,00 pm spoke to Martin Wade about the forecast to Billericay area which was changing

Fri 5,30 arrived at yard picked up wagon collecting Deerness Valley and West Durham Feds arriving at Barton for 9,00

3 wagons and 2 trailers travelled stopping at Peterborough at 1,45 looking again at forecast for Billericay which had changed considerably saying thick cloud at 8,00 am becoming worse after that.So I decided to reroute to Huntingdon with a better forecast on site by 3,10 ,wagons opened up and birds watered by 3,45

Sat 5,00 am blue skies and a heavy frost

5,45 clouds rolling in with areas of blue sky

7,30 sun starting to get out birds were liberated at 7,40 in a light South East wind ( cold )
Birds going north then splitting some batches returning to site and milling around at least 1 batch of 200 to 300 birds there for 30 mins before clearing North eventually clearing when larger areas of blue sky appeared.
Spoke to other organisations many having same problems ,but not all of them
Travelled back to yard dropping off West Durham and Deerness Valley Feds
