Fri started at yard and collected Cockfield and West Durham federations and returning to yard
Left yard at 10 pm at Dover for 7,30 on ferry at 9,25 arrived on site at 1,25 ,birds opened up and water on by 2pm
Sat 5,30 am full cloud cover ,started to break but then had rain ,called a hold over
Sun 5,00 am blue skies but weather charts showed a band of rain in England moving south east ,called a hold over
Mon 4,30 am 20% blue sky
6,00 low mist with low cloud passing through
7,00 mist gone broken cloud with not much sun
7,30 sun out DC liberated first as they were on site first ,
7,50 liberated birds North west wind becoming stronger on route
9,00 left site to return good skies all the way to coast able to see Dover from Calais ,London by 3 pm
High cloud good visibility up to Grantham then broken skies with sun , As per forecast strong North west wind on route back to yard
While in France I had no internet access on phone so I was ringing Alan Brown who was checking all weather sites for me as we talked
