Fri 7.45 ,rang Martin who voted to go Alan rang Stephen who voted not to go , I voted to go as I looked at forecast and it only had to improve slightly to get a race.

6.30. Arrived at yard picked up Crook ,Cockfield and West Durham ,then back to yard

Set off at 9.10 with 1 wagon and trailer picking up Darlington on the way , arrived at Racepoint at 3.10 ,birds watered and opened up by 3.40

Sat ,up at 6.30 ,full cloud cover ,very low,same all day with a cold now wind ,decided to holdover ,birds fed and watered by 4.30

Sun. Up at 6.00 am low cloud but bits of blue through it.

7.00 am no blue sky, weather nice as far south as Peterborough ,patchy below that ,better weather moving south

11 am starting to break on site but 20 miles of full cloud in front

11.30 skies blue on site ,looking better north ,

11,50 birds liberated in a north north west wind

12.15 high cloud but full cover on site
