A small tribute to a special and true pigeon man.
Firstly we were all aware Maurice was not very well, but being the

fighter he was .we all hoped he would have got over his problems and return home to his family and pigeons(sadly not to be) .he has flown pigeons in Cockfield h.s almost all his life, from a boy with his dad to the present day with his son gary.make no mistake he was a polite and true gentleman and a top class sportsman winning many races over the years from the shortest to the longest race with their small team of birds.
always there to help with the work load at the club and fed markings and events, never complaining or critiisizing.just getting on with it.was always upbeat and happily smiling win or lose,no excuses or crying on about bad races etc and first to congratulate the winners,no matter who it maybe.
a true gentleman and role model ,who will be sadly missed by those who knew him,sad day for everyone concerned.gary you can be very proud to have had a well respected and special father like Maurice.GOD BLESS
condolenses to gary and all the family.R.I.P from all members of Cockfield h.s and federation
