Important notice regarding basket numbers booked on Thursday

BILLERICAY National 1.

At Billericay we had 4,062 birds away on 2 wagons and the drag.
We could have had them all away on the wagon and drag, but the number of baskets booked in by Feds actually exceeded the number sent by over 30 (don't forget Joe also has to add on an extra 2 baskets per fed as instructed at the AGM).

This resulted in the Logistics Team booking enough staff for two transporters & the drag to work on friday on Thursday afternoon.

The transport team are told in advance if they are working, they do not turn up on a Friday to see if we need them, they are employee's of the WDA and should treated as such, there is no queue for the jobs and we need to look after the ones we are lucky enough to have.

We can not tell staff they are working on a Thursday and then tell them they aren't working as the convoy sets off to the racepoint on a Friday.

This week's problem was not the Logistics Teams fault, please help us keep costs to a minimum by accurately informing your Secretary how many pigeons you are sending to each race each Thursday morning.
