HUNTINGDON CONVOYERS REPORT

Fri 7.22 vote counted 9-0 to go,forecast was for cloud or rain early then clearing as morning goes on,
4pm went yard to fill waters and sort wagons out,setting off at 5.30pm to DV fed,then picking up CR,CF WD and DAR feds.wagons arriving on site by 1.15am,birds watered and open up by 2am.
SAT up at 6.15 full cloud cover no word till 9.30am.
9.30 am full cloud clearing on route with very good disability,no word till10.30am ,still full cloud ,but brighter looking west.no word till 11.45..
11.10 skies brighter with white cloud and grey patches,walked up to the top of hilllooking north bright white cloud ,but no Sun,made decision to LIB when strings were cut.11.30 birds up in fresh NW wind,with birds clearing within 2 mins out of view,wagons set off back at 12.10 spots of rain on site when leaving.traveling north dark skies looking west and brighter skies eastwards,hit a heavy shower near boroughbridge and again catterick and scotch corner approx 3.15,whilst dropping baskets noticed birds coming from west at 4.15 as if they had come around rain ,in hindsight think they should have been held over as they must have not cleared farther down road,but birds left site very well,not as the rumours are suggesting.very little Sun on route mainly near grantham area .chief conveyer PETER MATTHEWS
